Ok...first off I did the search for this topic and came up pretty much empty handed....so now I am posing the question to all of you......
How the heck do you get a stuck oil filter cap to let go?! I have drained the oil and now I am trying to replace the filter and I removed the 3 nuts successfully but now the darn cap is just sitting there! I have tried tapping lightly around the edges to try and break the seal, nothing....I have tried tapping on the entire cover with a rubber mallet....nothing....I have tried to get a flathead screwdriver into the seal and pry it off....nothing.....so now I am out of ideas on my own....I am in hopes that some of you can offer up something for me to try.....I figured once I released the 3 nuts the darn thing would just pop right off due to the spring inside....but that didn't happen.....:-k
Hope someone can hook me up with a solution to this......
