I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This will be interesting.......

Needless to say the local Kroger and Wal Mart have been crazy today and it is not expected to arrive until late Friday night.

Marv, hope you're stocked up... Milk, bread, toilet paper, & a few corn cobs just for a little extra security

It's the same here in Arkansas. I moved here to get away from the snow and winds of Nebraska and now we are in the path of the big one.

Predicting 12-18" here and I have recently sold 2 snowblowers that I brought here from Ne.

In the 3 winters I have been here, off and on, I've only seen a dusting of snow that was gone the next day by noon. I'm sure I will get through this event unscathed.

Bet you will be riding in a week or two, unlike Nebraska.

For sure. Winter in Ne. can last into early May. I've lived there and can attest to the fact that April is not usually good for motorcycling.

I say let it snow! It's been a few years since we got a big snow fall.

Winter is for working on your motorcycle, getting it ready for spring time.
I'm going to remove the body work and fuel tank to get to the ECU. Having it flashed will pick up 15-20 hp.

On a side note:
Apparently people are sh#ting themselves over this snow storm. I went to the grocery store yesterday. They were out of milk and TOILET PAPER! Figure that one out...

Having lived the majority of my adult life in the snow belt of Northwest Lower Michigan I kinda grin at the idea of a few inches of snow closing down entire sections of the country. Then again, considering the driving habits common to areas south of the mason-dixon line I can easily see how this could be a major catastrophe! I'm just glad to leave wheat and dairy out of my diet, paper towel works in a pinch.

Mine was out of potatoes and onions yesterday..???? Everybody making potato soup, I guess.:victorious:

Due to the extreme cold weather forecasted for the next few days, Wal-Mart is requesting that customers wear 2 pairs of pajama pants when shopping at their stores!:p

"There could possibly, maybe, barely be less than an inch of snow Saturday in the OC.
You know the drill. We have rehearsals for this every year. You are ready for the big event.
Tomorrow, buy out the grocery stores. Buy things you don’t need or even want. Loot the bread, milk and eggs first. When everything but sardines in mustard sauce is gone, then you know you are done.
Get out your 4 wheel drive trucks, jeeps and SUVs and put them in 4wd immediately. You don’t want to be the only guy with a jeep who isn’t in a ditch by 9 am.
Check on momma and them. That goes without saying.
If there isn’t enough snow at your house to make a snowball, steal your neighbors' snow.
The panic of 20(26) begins at noon tomorrow."

LAB3, Does that mean you think you've found something folks north of the Mason-Dixon can do better than us down here? I never saw driving on snow as a big deal. Driving on the ice we get down here for me, is waaaay more of a challenge... Good luck to everybody aggravated by this winter weather.

Snow in the South is like being out on the road for amateur night (New Year's Eve) but once you're down in these parts where on normal days the line in the middle of the road is just kind of a suggestion and those pretty blinking lights on the back of the car are only used at Christmas to make things purtier things tend to become more tense.

I just watched the national news and it looks like the biggest threat is the ice, which will sweep from T X across the south, skipping FL.

The news showed an incredible shot in MI, likely the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, horizontal blowing winds. How's our members there holding up?

-51 in Duluth, MN

a shot outside a grocery store somewhere in the East, with a line of people standing in the snow, that stretched around the block.

Interestingly, this storm lacks a name. What happened to naming every major rain?

Edit: 46 F here with clear skies
