    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Just wanted to send out a reminder that if you want your rally listed on the homepage of The GSResources, please let me know. If you are looking to get more exposure for your event, be sure to email or DM the details to Frank (administrator). I will 'stick' your forum thread as well.

There is no longer a restriction to only annual rides. As long as your ride is a sure bet then I'll list it...

Please note that you may list all GS related events in the forum calendar.

    One final suggestion...
When creating a thread for a new ride, please continue to update the first article in the thread with the latest ride information. This saves people from having to wade through pages of posts for the updated information.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

2025 Brown County GS Hooraw:

Thursday, June 19 through Sunday, June 22, 2025.

You know the drill... we'll be based at the palatial Rosemount Motel in Bedford, Indiana, smack bang in the middle of Indiana's most delicious and delectable twisty roads and scenery.

And yeah, this is in Lawrence County, two counties over from Brown County, but never mind all that. There were reasons, good reasons...

As ever:

- Please do NOT call, email, pester, bug, or bother Jay or any of the fine folks running the Rosemount. These days are blocked to all other reservations, and I will handle making the rooming list for the rally.

- Watch this thread. I will email past attendees sometime in March 2025, then announce here when I am ready for additional requests.

- Please start your winter motorcycle projects early... finishing your motorcycle build, maintenance, or modifications at 3am the night before departure has a distinctly poor record of success.

- Please get out and ride a LOT this spring, as early as you can. Setting forth with rusty skills also has a poor record of success.

- Ride whatever you want. We're not organized enough to keep people out or anything. But you'll be considered somewhat cooler than average if you do manage to show up on a GS.

- Ride fast and shift a lot.

Would one be considered even more than somewhat cooler than average, or less cooler than somewhat cooler than average if one showed up on a classic KZ?

It’s anything goes. Last year bunch of Triumphs, including mine, BMWs, Kawis, at least one VStrom, a Yamaha Tracer, a think a Goldwing or 2. But it was nice to see the Suzuki GSes. I’d love to ride mine there, but I really don’t think it’s cut out for the trip. Being my first time meeting most of the folks there, I found no correlation to bike brand and “coolness” of the rider. I do hope that Dale and his GS make a comeback. Speaking of….. how is Dale?. I don’t think we’ve heard from him in a while.

No KZ's allowed... You have to ride one of your beautiful GS's!
Ha, I'll probably be taking my Kawasaki.
All brands welcome, but you know that.

This is your first time, nah.......... possibly close to the 20th time, there evidently!:p

I missed the last two, and before that I'd missed one since my first one in 2004.

I was in Iraq (long story) in 2008. So they let me off the hook for that one.

Ok, I'll try... :D I know one of you lot will find me a bike!

and someone should remind Nardy.... He's BMW only these days.

My latest... 2022 Tenere 700, the Husky TE610 on the move soon. Trying to find a good home for that one. :)

I don't think we're organized enough to carefully calibrate levels of coolness like that. Looks like you'll have to show up and take your chances.

I was considering showing up on a Honda...But even I know that would knock me down a couple rungs on the Coolness Ladder.

Still got that pink scooter? Now THAT would show galactic levels of confidence and cool.

No, that went away when the girls got their motorcycle licenses.

When's the last time somebody showed up on a twin under 500cc, I wonder? The only small twin I remember ever seeing (other than a couple of the newer GS500s) over the years was the one year somebody showed up on a GS300L.

That was back when we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Columbus, I believe.

I have a 400cc inline 4 that I think I'll bring...(Salty) Dan, you can have first dibs on that bike if you'd like. As I can bring my Z900rs also.
Rich, we can put one bike in the truck bed and have room for your motorcycle in the trailer.

Pencil me in ! Haven't missed a BC yet !

Ride what ya got ! I think I've ridden eight different bikes to BC. In order (somewhat) 1000L, 1100G, Concours, 1000E, SV1000, KLR, 850G and most recently the FJ-09.

On the Radar!
I will be heading out that way this year for a 2 week tour, finishing off in Harvard IL the weekend of 27th. Be Back in Vermont by July 1. Planning to come down through Canada this year through Minnesota and Wisconsin. Never been but heard it's great riding. I haven't left the state in years and the last time was only a long weekend ( with Rich82GS750TZ and Eli69 ). Little one makes it hard.
May only be able to stop in for a day or 2 but I'll know more as I start to finalize my journey.
It would be great to see you all!

Sounds like a blast - count me in!

This'd be my first time attending this event. Is there anything specific I should bring or plan for?
